I will be the first to tell you I have never served in the military, have never been part of a special operations unit, and the last "sandbox" I played in was bordered with wood and filled with Tonka trucks. I'm one of millions of law-abiding citizens with a passion for the shooting sports.
Having grown up between Alaska and Montana, firearms were simply a part of life in places where we were not the apex predator. I remember my first trip to the woods with my father nearly 30 years ago and it built the foundation of safety and fun I share with my family today.
Three decades later, I have grown into an avid shooter & competitor and hold NRA certification as Pistol Instructor and Range Safety Officer. I have worked as a full-time firearms instructor and range officer and have coordinated and competed in numerous shooting competitions.
My firearms training comes from instructors with decades of real-world military and law-enforcement experience and competitive shooters who regularly compete in sanctioned matches. I work to remain current in modern equipment, techniques and tactics. We're fortunate to live in a nation where legal gun ownership is a basic right and the shooting sports provide millions of people with lifelong recreation, competition, and camaraderie.
